About Villa Lefka

This elegant and comfortable property is uniquely situated and very private, yet only a 5 to 10 minute drive away from beautiful beaches including the popular beach of Lourdas with its seafront tavernas, bars and night life.

Designed by English Architect Crispin Osborne the property lies within 18000 sqm of olive groves on a high promontory blessed with uninterrupted views over the open sea towards the island of Zakinthos and the Castle of St. George and an impressive Mount Ainos as backdrop.

The property is articulated in 4 separate self contained buildings joined by patios, offering both privacy and large communal areas, all with outstanding views. Built to high standards, the property offers modern advantages such as sliding glass doors and insect screens, A/C in the bedrooms, lights and ceiling fans on dimmer switches, pleasant bathrooms, SatelliteTV, Fax and Wi-Fi.

A spacious infinity pool, also with sea views and a wonderful pavilion  and bar for lunches and drinks, awaits those who prefer to be completely lazy.

For the more active, the romantic overgrown ruins of a sixteenth century Monastery are a five minute walk from the property. A beautiful, sandy beach, accessible only from the property (or by boat), is a 15 minute walk down goat tracks and is usually deserted even in the August high season. Another jewel of a beach is accessible by 4x4 jeep a few bumpy minutes below the Monastery.

The South coast of Cephalonia offers many popular, fully equipped beaches of great beauty: Lourdas (5min), Koroni (10min), Katelios (15min) and Skala (20min), where boats can be hired for the day and water sports enjoyed.

Much of the island’s rich cultural heritage is less than a 30 minute drive away: The Castle of St. George, Monasteries, Churches, Homeric ruins and of course the town of Argostoli with its Museums, Churches and its lively restaurants, shops and bars.

Further afield are the beautiful villages of Assos and Fiscardo and many other sites of interest in this varied and verdant Island.

A day trip to the Island of Zakinthos is particularly easy from this property, which is less than a 15 minute drive from the Ferry port. You can visit the famous shipwreck beach and blue caves which adorn most Greek calendars and be back by evening.

Cephalonia has an International Airport, which is a convenient 25 minutes away, and good ferry connections to the Mainland and neighbouring Islands.
